Watch Lionel Messi score his 500th goal for Barcelona

Leo Messi's reached another milestone in his Barcelona career. He's already the club's all-time leading goalscorer, and now he's got 500 goals in a Blaugrana shirt following this strike to draw Barça level with Sevilla.

He makes it look so easy. Just a simple first-time finish, passed into the corner through a sea of bodies and a tiny window to squeeze the shot through. It's almost like he's got this goal-scoring thing down to a science.

That strike was his 469th in official matches, but his 500th overall for the club, including friendlies. Official or not, that's an absolutely absurd number.

At the clip he's been scoring, Messi will hit 500 official goals by the end of this season. He didn't just score No. 500 on the day, he provided an assist to Luis Suarez, helping Barcelona to beat upstarts Sevilla by a score of 2-1.

No. 501 beckons.
