Vale cruise past hapless Bees

Louis Dodds volleyed Vale ahead in the eighth minute before

former Stevenage winger Myrie-Williams stroked home a 20th minute

penalty, awarded when Tom Pope was fouled by Jon Nurse.

Pope should have scored a third soon after, but curled wide

after being set up by Dodds, who also steered the wrong side of the

post after Bees keeper Liam O’Brien was caught off his line.

Dodds was looking for his second when he flashed an effort

across the face of goal after the break.
