Torres not ready to return after groin injury
Fernando Torres has been ruled out of Liverpool’s Premier League match at Blackburn on Saturday because he has yet to recover fully from a groin injury.
The Spain striker has been out of action since Nov. 4. He trained this week but is not totally fit.
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez says “he’s doing well but he will not be ready for this game.”
Torres has scored 10 goals in 10 Premier League matches this season but has not played since the 1-1 Champions League draw at Lyon.
Benitez added that Torres should be fit to play Fiorentina in the team’s final Champions League match on Wednesday.
