This flying karate kick goal would make Mr. Miyagi proud

You can just start calling Ola Kamara the Karate Kid. Check out this flying karate kick goal he scored against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night:

Mr. Miyagi would probably be proud, if he weren't a fictional character from the Karate Kid movies.

Kamara came in committed to getting a foot on the ball, and a foot he got. Let's see that again with the full slate of replays:

Kamara, a Norwegian who joined the Crew in February, came into Saturday's match with a scoring drought hanging over his head. He hadn't scored in the Crew's previous six games after a midseason scoring burst that saw him net 10 goals in nine games. His flying karate kick was certainly not a bad way to end the drought.

The Crew could use some more goals like that. After making the MLS Cup last year, they sit tied for last place in the Eastern Conference with only seven games left in the regular season.
