Neymar scores 5 goals, Robinho 2 in Santos’ win

Young sensation Neymar scored five goals and Robinho added two more

in Santos’ 8-1 routing of Guarani in the round of 16 of the

Brazilian Cup.

The victory Wednesday night at Vila Belmiro stadium all but

secured a place in the quarterfinals for the team made famous by

Pele. Santos can lose the return match in Campinas by as many as

six goals.

Called the new Robinho, Neymar is one of the hottest players

in Brazilian football and is reportedly being sought after by

several European clubs.

Neymar scored three goals in the first half and two in the

second on Wednesday, while Robinho – on a loan from Manchester City

– added a goal in each half.

Santos has scored 53 goals in its last 10 matches.
