Pjanic plays down rumours

Miralem Pjanic claims he would be happy to remain at Roma as

speculation regarding his future intensifies.

The highly-rated forward is said to have attracted interest from

Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona ahead of the January transfer

Pjanic first caught the eye during his time with Lyon, with his

efforts earning him a switch to Italy in August 2011.

His development has continued in Serie A, sparking speculation

that he may be ready to take another step up.

Pjanic concedes that anything is possible, with every player

having a price, but he insists it is his intention to honour a

contract at Roma which is due to run until 2015.

“I am happy at Roma because the fans love me and my work is

appreciated by everyone,” he said in L’Equipe.

“Of course you never know what can happen, but I am under

contract and I want to fulfil it.”
