Paraguay without injured Villar, Barrios

New Paraguay coach Francisco Arce will be without injured

regulars Justo Villar and Lucas Barrios for the upcoming World Cup

qualifiers against Peru and Uruguay.

Goalkeeper Villar was one of the top players in the Copa America

– the continental championship – and Barrios of Borussia Dortmund

has been one of Paraguay’s top attacking threats.

Arce named his squad Friday for the games at Peru on Oct. 7 and

home to Copa America champion Uruguay four days later.
