Obinna targets Napoli move

The striker is at Upton Park on a season-long loan from Inter Milan

but will become a free agent when his contract expires in the

summer. The Nigerian, 23, who spent last season in Spain on loan

with Malaga, has targeted a return to Serie A, with Napoli his

first-choice destination. “Obinna hopes to come to Napoli, which is

a place he has always liked,” his agent Valentino Nerbini told the

Daily Mail. “A few years ago, a deal was in place to take him there

for around £5m. However, the deal broke down over problems

relating to image rights. “Now that Obinna could arrive on a free

transfer, Napoli would be crazy not to take him. The dream is to

come to Napoli, a club who are playing beautiful football at the

moment.”
