Norwich beats West Brom 2-0 in Premier League

Gary Hooper scored his fifth goal of the season to help Norwich

beat West Bromwich Albion 2-0 in the Premier League on Saturday and

distance the club from the relegation zone.

Hooper put the visitors ahead in the 13th minute with a low shot

past goalkeeper Boaz Myhill after being set up by Leroy Fer.

Norwich then withstood sustained pressure by West Brom in the

second half before Fer secured the victory by scoring on a counter

attack in the 89th.

It was only Norwich’s second away win of the season and came on

the heels of a 5-1 drubbing by Liverpool on Wednesday. Norwich now

has 17 points from 15 games and is four points away from the

relegation zone.

West Brom has 15 points.
