No Pavlyuchenko swap for Spurs

Pavlyuchenko is out of Spurs boss Harry Redknapp’s plans and has

made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this

season. The £14million man, who was signed from Spartak Moscow

in 2008, has been linked with a move to QPR, but reports also

suggest Tottenham may try to strike a cash-plus-player deal with

Marseille. Any agreement would in theory see Remy move to White

Hart Lane, however, the France international’s representative

thinks the suggestion is a non-starter. Agent Frederic Guerra said

in The Sun: “Loic is not a player you just swap. Besides, I don’t

think Marseille want to lose a Ferrari and bring in a Citroen 2CV.

“Spurs have a good eye for a deal. If they contact me, I’ll be

obliged to pass the information on to Loic. But as his advisor I’ll

tell him to stay put. “He’s got Euro 2012 coming up and could have

10, 15 or 20 clubs coming in for him next summer.”
