Nasri back in action, but not ready for first team
Samir Nasri says he is not ready to return to Arsenal’s first team despite making his comeback in the reserves three months after breaking a leg.
The France midfielder played almost an hour Tuesday as Arsenal’s second-string squad drew 2-2 with Wolverhampton.
He said: “I was a little bit tired at the end of the first half but I am so happy to be back on the pitch.”
Nasri insists that “everything is fine now” with the bone he broke in his right leg during preseason training in July.
He said: “I don’t know if I am ready yet for the first team. … After one or two games I will be ready to come back to the first team.”
The reserves don’t have another match until Nov. 2.
