Mozambique downs Kenya 1-0 in World Cup qualifier
Manuel “Tico Tico” Bucuane scored a second-half goal as Mozambique beat Kenya 1-0 in a World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.
Bucuane also had an effort disallowed for offside in the first half.
The goal that counted came off a cross from striker Dario Monteiro before a hometown crowd of about 50,000.
The win leaves Mozambique in third spot in Group B with four points from four games, while Kenya is now in last place with three points. Group leader Tunisia and Nigeria were playing later on Sunday.
