McGoldrick wanted hat-trick

David McGoldrick was not entirely satisfied despite his two

goals helping Coventry stun Doncaster 4-1 at the weekend.

The on-loan striker took his tally for the season to 16 goals in

22 appearances since joining the Sky Blues from Nottingham Forest

in August.

It was the fourth time the 25-year-old had netted a brace this

season and it left the former Southampton player desperate to score

a treble.

He told the club’s official website: “I was dying for that

hat-trick but it wasn’t to be.

“I haven’t scored one for the club yet and I missed a couple of

chances to do that.

“Most importantly, though, everyone is chipping in at the

moment. Adam Barton and Franck (Moussa) scored two great goals and

it is important that it isn’t just me getting the goals.

“I am really looking forward to each game at the moment and the

side are full of confidence which always helps me out.”
