Man City’s Richards ruled out for up to 6 weeks

Manchester City defender Micah Richards has been ruled out for

up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The right back was hurt playing for England Under-21s last week

and will miss City’s FA Cup semifinal with fierce rival Manchester

United at Wembley on April 16, as well as up to seven matches in

the Premier League run-in.

City says in a statement on Tuesday it’s likely Richards will

miss the next four to six weeks, adding he’ll ”press ahead with

plans for an oxygen tent in his house in a bid to speed his

recovery.”

Richards says ”I felt sick when I was told. … Of all the

games to miss, a Wembley date with United is the last one any

player would choose.”

City is fourth in the Premier League.
