Jacobsen ponders Danish switch

The 31-year-old looks likely to leave Upton Park after the club’s

relegation from the Premier League and has revealed that he is

interested in a move back to the Danish Superligaen. The Dane made

the switch to English football in the summer of 2008 after signing

for Everton, followed by season-long stints at Blackburn Rovers and

the Hammers. One possible destination for the defender is a second

spell at FC Copenhagen and the guarantee of Champions League

football next season. Jacobsen, who revealed that he has already

turned down several clubs, told TV2: “Yes, I am considering

returning home to Denmark. That is a possibility. “That is not to

say that this will happen. I keep all doors open. “[A return to

Copenhagen] could be really fun and it could really tempt you. It

feels like it is at the top level.”
