I’ll return stronger, vows Guedioura

Guedioura fractured his tibia in a challenge with Steve Sidwell in

Wolves’ 2-1 defeat by Midlands rivals Aston Villa. The 24-year-old

is expected to miss between four to six months of action, with some

speculating he could be sidelined for the rest of the season.

However, the ex-Charleroi midfielder is willing and eager to do

everything possible to ensure that does not happen. “It depends on

how my recovery goes but I hope to play again this season,” he told

the Express and Star. “I think I’ll be stronger mentally and I’ll

work hard physically. “What’s happened is sad, but I’m not down

about it because I know I’ll come back stronger. “I’ve got time to

work hard and when I come back I’ll do my best to fight for Wolves

again.” Guedioura also bears no ill-feeling towards Sidwell,

stating he does not believe the Villa midfielder intended to hurt

him. He continued: “I don’t think he wanted to injure me – he

wanted to get the ball and it wasn’t malicious. “I don’t bear him

any bad feelings – he was trying to win the ball.”
