Greuther Fuerth signs Serbian striker Djurdjic

Greuther Fuerth has signed Serbian striker Nikola Djurdjic from

Norwegian first-division side FK Haugesund.

The Bundesliga club says on its website that the 26-year-old

Djurdjic has agreed on a deal until summer 2016.

Fuerth president Helmut Hack says ”we invested a lot of work in

the transfer, Nikola was also courted by other clubs.”

Both sides agreed not to disclose the transfer fee.

Djurdjic, who has been on loan at Swedish side Helsingborg since

August, will join up with his new teammates on Jan. 3.

Fuerth secured promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time

this season but has managed only a league-low 11 goals. The club is

bottom of the table, 10 points from safety, at the halfway

stage.
