Greece calls up three new players

Greece coach Fernando Santos has called up three new players for

a friendly match against Austria next week, admitting his selection

was affected by local government elections in the country this

weekend.

Corfu goalkeeper Dimitris Constantopoulos, Panserriakos

midfielder Giorgos Giorgiadis, and Panionios defender Dimitris

Siovas all got their first call-ups for the national team

Friday.

Greece plays Austria in the friendly in Vienna next

Wednesday.

Santos said Aris Thessaloniki players Michalis Sifakis and

Thanassis Prittas had been left out because their league game had

been moved to Monday because of run-off elections Sunday in local

government races.
