Buffon wants Juventus stay for life

Gianluigi Buffon has expressed his desire to remain at Juventus until the end of his playing career.

The experienced goalkeeper has been with the club for almost a decade but speculation has recently started to surface regarding his future.

Manchester City were linked with a move for Buffon last summer and again this month, before Roberto Mancini stated that he would never try to sign the 32-year-old.

Buffon has now declared that he is happy to stay with Juve, whilst also playing down reports of a rift with manager Luigi Del Neri.

Del Neri recently stated that Buffon would not be guaranteed a place in the side when he returned from injury, prompting an unhappy response from the player’s agent.

Buffon is now back to full fitness following a lengthy lay-off and enjoying his football at Juve.

"The demonstration of unconditional love towards me from the fans is something I cannot ignore," he told Sky Italia.

"I hope and I wish to continue throughout my career here at Juve.

"Cold relations with Del Neri? I speak with him and we even joke."
