Gary ready to fire Seasiders

The 29-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the Seasiders’ second

string beat Manchester United reserves 2-1 at Bloomfield Road on

Wednesday. Taylor-Fletcher had been sidelined for four games after

picking up a hamstring injury in training. “I had a tear in my

hamstring and it affected my hip as well,” the forward told the

Blackpool Gazette. “It took a few weeks to get right. “It was

frustrating for me because I was in a good run of form, playing

week in, week out and enjoying it. The results weren’t going

brilliantly but we were playing well as a team. “That’s the reason

I’m confident about us staying up: we have a team which will score

goals and will win games. “Some teams are struggling to score

goals, but we know we’ll score – we’ve done it in every home game

this season, and in the Premier League that’s not a bad record.”

Blackpool return to Premier League action next Saturday when they

face local rivals Blackburn at Ewood Park.
