Fulham manager Jol says Grygera will retire

Fulham manager Martin Jol says Zdenek Grygera, who is training

with the Premier League club, has decided to retire from football

because of a series of injuries.

Grygera made seven appearances for Fulham last season before

being released, but had been training at the club in the hope of

earning a contract.

Jol says ”Grygera told me that he will quit. … He is retiring

as it is now as he first wants to be healthy, sound and get back to

his fitness because he has a few problems with his hip and his

knee.”

Jol says Grygera could play again when his fitness returns.
