Fernando Llorente recovers from knee injury

Spanish club Athletic Bilbao says striker Fernando Llorente has

recovered from a left knee injury and resumed training.

Llorente had been sidelined for about a month with the problem

and has not been included in coach Marcelo Bielsa’s squad for

Tuesday’s Copa del Rey match against Albacete.

The 26-year-old forward, who has 19 international caps, is

widely tipped to break into Spain’s starting lineup while Barcelona

forward David Villa is out with a broken leg and Fernando Torres

continues to struggle for form at Chelsea.

Llorente has scored five goals in 13 league matches for Athletic

this season.
