Ferguson jnr cools Obertan link

Ferguson currently has Matt James and Josh King on loan from his

father’s club and has also been linked with a move for Obertan. The

Frenchman was in attendance at Preston’s 1-0 win over Portsmouth at

the weekend and has yet to feature for United this term. However,

Ferguson has not even discussed the possibility of signing the

21-year-old and doubts the former Bordeaux youngster is available

for loan. “That’s one we’ve not even spoken about,” said Ferguson

in the Lancashire Evening Post. “He’s in their first-team squad,

there’s no chance.” Meanwhile, United youngster King is unsure if

he will extend his loan spell at Deepdale beyond the initial

three-month agreement after scoring once in four appearances so far

for Preston. King told the club’s official website: “It has been

going good and I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve only been here three weeks,

but I have enjoyed it. “It’s too early to say whether or not I

would extend the loan I will just have to see how it goes, but I’m

enjoying it at the moment so we will wait and see.”
