EA Sports have given Kenton Doust the ultimate honor for a FIFA fan: he's now in the game for real.

The 15-year-old Canadian and fervent Vancouver Whitecaps supporter was found to have three brain tumors on or near his pituitary gland and began chemotherapy on October 30th, 2015. He was airlifted to Vancouver's BC Children's Hospital where he underwent 25 sessions of chemo, before finally being declared cancer-free on May 19th, 2016.

Whitecaps defender Russel Teibert sent Doust boots and a signed jersey while he was in treatment, and visited him on the day he received the all-clear notice

Vancouver-based EA Sports heard about Doust's fight with cancer, so they took their "it's in the game" slogan literally and put Doust in FIFA 17 with his own special FIFA Ultimate Team player card, and a staff card available for general use. He's no slouch in the game either, with an incredible 95 rating.

Amazing. Hopefully he's got a 99 toughness rating as well.
