Dinamo Zagreb coach Krunoslav Jurcic fired

Dinamo Zagreb has fired coach Krunoslav Jurcic after a 2-0 home

loss to Austria Vienna in the first leg of the Champions League

playoffs.

Dinamo president Zdravko Mamic says the reason for Jurcic’s

firing is ”a dismal performance” by the team in Wednesday’s

match. Austria scored two goals in the second half after Dinamo

dominated the first.

This was Jurcic’s third spell with the Croatian champions.

Previously, he was fired once and the other time he resigned.

Mamic said Thursday that assistant coach Damir Krznar will lead

the team in the return leg in Vienna next Tuesday.
