Delap: Potters will get over poor run

City have been on a poor run, having not won in the Premier League

for six matches – since beating Portsmouth at home back in

November. The Potters have now slipped into the bottom half of the

table despite an excellent start to the season, but Delap insists

they will bounce back. “We’ve bounced back from worse, so we’ll

bounce back from this,” he added. “The Birmingham match really

showed what happens when you are on a roll and you get that little

bit of luck that can often make all the difference. “We can’t start

feeling sorry for ourselves though, just focus on making the

chances count when we are playing as well as we did for spells in

the Birmingham match.” Stoke have some respite from the league at

the weekend when non-league side York travel to the Britannia in

the FA Cup.
