Coates: Potters need four more

The Potters, who face Bolton in an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley

next month, are currently 10th in the Premier League table with 37

points. Stoke entertain Chelsea at the weekend and with eight games

remaining are five points clear of the relegation zone. And Coates

told The Sentinel: “My own estimate is 41 points but obviously I’d

like rather better than that. “In a perfect world, it would be nice

to finish 10th after finishing 11th and 12th in our first two

seasons. That would be amazing. “But the first priority has to be

to stay up. The second is to finish as high as we can. “It would be

a brave man who would say which three clubs will go at this stage

as it is so tight. But any three will do, as far as I’m concerned,

as long as it isn’t us.”
