Chelsea winger Marko Marin has joined Anderlecht on loan until the end of the season.

The deal includes an option for the Belgian side to buy the German in the summer.

Marin has been restricted to just five starts for Chelsea since joining in a £7m deal in the summer of 2012.

The 25-year-old went on loan to La Liga side Sevilla last season and has spent the first half of the current campaign with Fiorentina in Italy.

But the forward only mustered four Europa League appearances during his time in Florence leading to the Serie A side cutting short his loan spell.

Serbian-born Marin came through the youth ranks at Eintracht Frankfurt before joining Borussia Monchengladbach where he spent four seasons.

He joined Werder Bremen in an £8m deal 2009 before moving to Chelsea on a five-year contract for almost £11.5m three years later.

Marin was handed his debut for Germany by manager Joachim Low in 2008 and has gone on to make 16 international appearances.
