Charlton & Coventry fans throw toy pigs on the pitch to protest ownership groups

Fans of both Charlton Athletic and Coventry City are fed up with their respective ownership situations. In a rare show of solidarity, fans from both sides banded together to put on a protest that won't soon be forgotten. Just before kickoff of their match, fans hurled hundreds of toy pigs onto the pitch.

Charlton fans are protesting club owner Roland Duchâtelet's management and Coventry fans are unhappy with the administration of theirs by SISU. Chants of "SISU out!" and "Roland out!" accompanied the pork projectiles, which delayed the match and gave us this classic series of tweets from Charlton's account.

Prior to the match, the fans marched together to the stadium in another display of their displeasure. It's a tumultuous situation for both League One clubs, to say the least. Neither ownership nor the fans seem willing to budge, though. Stay tuned for what might be in store down the road.
