Campbell to build on debut
Newcastle United starlet Adam Campbell is determined to build on
making his Premier League debut.
The 18-year-old North Shields-born front-man came off the bench
to feature in Newcastle’s 2-1 win over Stoke.
Campbell is now looking to repay the faith shown in him by
manager Alan Pardew.
“It’s nice to know the manager is going to give you a chance,”
Campbell told the Shields Gazette.
“If he thinks you are good enough, he will.
“It makes you want to work harder so that he can’t not play
“It gives everybody a lift. Not just me, everybody in the
Academy and reserves knows if they work hard enough then the
manager will give you your chance and you will get in there.
“I’m just looking to get on the bench and if I can get on a few
times, it would give me the perfect platform to work from next
season. It isn’t about me getting a game, we have good players here
already. I’ll just keep working.”
