Blackpool v Manchester City preview

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has no fresh injury worries ahead of

Manchester City’s visit to Bloomfield Road on Sunday. Matt Gilks

(leg), Neal Eardley (ankle) and Craig Cathcart (back) were forced

out of international duty with Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

respectively but have all recovered. Keith Southern will be pushing

for a start after returning to full fitness following a knee injury

while Billy Clarke, Alex Baptiste (both knee) and Louis Almond

(shoulder) remain on the sidelines. Roberto Mancini has declared

Jerome Boateng fit for City’s trip. Boateng missed Germany’s

midweek encounter with Kazakhstan after picking up a virus but has

now recovered and is expected to feature at Bloomfield Road. Micah

Richards and Pablo Zabaleta have both recovered from hamstring

injuries but Mario Balotelli (knee) and Aleksandar Kolarov (ankle)

will be missing for another 10 days. Blackpool (from): Gilks,
