Ribery tells Bayern’s television channel that ”it is a super day for me, very emotional.” He hopes to play again before the Christmas break.

Bayern has five matches until the break.

Pep Guardiola’s team is undefeated in the Bundesliga and has qualified for the knockout stage of the Champions League.

Bayern has signed two wingers, Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman, as backups for Ribery and the injury-prone Arjen Robben.
