Australia’s Vidosic joining Swiss club Sion

Australia midfielder Dario Vidosic has agreed to join Swiss club

Sion from Adelaide United.

Adelaide announced on its website Monday that it agreed the

transfer with Sion, which has failed to score in its first six

games of the Swiss league season.

Vidosic says in the club statement that he’s ”a bit sad

leaving” but that ”this is a great opportunity that I couldn’t

knock back.”

Details of the transfer deal were not disclosed.

The 26-year-old Vidosic spent four seasons playing in Germany

before joining Adelaide in 2011.

Born in Croatia, the attacking midfielder played in two World

Cup qualifiers as Australia advanced to the tournament in

Brazil.
