Sagna ruled out for three weeks

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna will miss Sunday’s Premier League trip to West Brom after being ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 30-year-old Frenchman sustained the injury during Tuesday night’s Champions League victory and, while it was originally feared the right-back would only miss two weeks, medical tests have confirmed a longer lay-off.

Quoted on Arsenal’s official Twitter feed, manager Arsene Wenger’s told a pre-match press conference: "Sagna will be not be available, he has a hamstring injury and will be out for three weeks."

Spanish winger Santi Cazorla is also out of contention due to an ankle problem.
