Dutch Eredivisie Roundup, Feb. 13

Ronnie Stam scored in the 90th minute Saturday to give FC Twente a

2-1 comeback win over Vitesse Arnhem in the Dutch league.

Paul Verhaegh took advantage of a defensive blunder to put

Vitesse ahead in the 51st minute, but Bryan Ruiz leveled in the

82nd and Stam struck eight minutes later off a pass from captain

Blaise Nkufo.

Twente stayed second with 58 points. Leader PSV Eindhoven,

which travels to Heracles Almelo on Sunday, also has 58 but enjoys

a superior goal difference over Steve McClaren’s side. Ajax is

third with 52.

Also Saturday, Dennis Rommedahl and Luis Suarez scored to

give Ajax a 2-0 win over SC Heerenveen, which had Christian

Grindheim sent off in the 73rd.

Ricky van den Bergh scored twice and Santy Hulst got another

for ADO The Hague in a 3-0 win over Willem II.

On Friday, Bram Nuytinck scored two goals to give NEC

Nijmegen a 4-2 win over NAC Breda. Patrick Pothuizen and Arek

Radomski were also on target for NEC, while Ferne Snoyl and Anthony

Lurling replied for NAC with two first-half goals.

Defending champion AZ Alkmaar was playing Roda JC in

Saturday’s late game.

On Sunday, it’s: FC Utrecht vs. Feyenoord; FC Groningen vs.

RKC Waalwijk and Sparta Rotterdam vs. VVV-Venlo.
