Aleksa Cvetkovic - Joins Vancouver Whitecaps Cvetkovic has joined Vancouver from Serbian SuperLiga side OFK Beograd on a U22 Initiative contract through the 2029-30 season, with a club option for 2030-31, the club announced.
Impact Cvetkovic was a regular starter for OFK Beograd over the past two seasons, starting 52 of 73 appearances across competitions and contributing seven goals and nine assists as a box-to-box midfielder. He came through Red Star Belgrade's youth system, winning a Serbian U-17 title in 2021-22, and has represented Serbia at the U-21 level with five caps and one goal, plus a senior national team training camp call-up this past March. Sporting director Axel Schuster pointed to his energy and work rate as qualities that should translate well to MLS, and Vancouver adds him as a versatile option capable of playing centrally or out wide.

Impact Gherasimencov had been expected to potentially return in a substitute role, and this appearance confirms he's back available after previously replacing Ranko Veselinovic during a league match. Prior to this absence, the 21-year-old had tallied 11 tackles, eight crosses and five clearances over seven MLS appearances, including two starts, operating mostly as a left back. Gherasimencov is expected to continue competing for playing time as the club moves forward.

Thomas Muller - Left out of squad for Tigres match Muller is the notable absence from Vancouver Whitecaps' squad for the upcoming match against Tigres in Leagues Cup, according to Marca Mexico.
Impact Muller has been in strong form for Vancouver this season, scoring five goals with two assists across 14 MLS appearances, including a coolly converted penalty he earned himself in the recent draw with LAFC. His absence for this match is a notable one given his recent contributions, but Vancouver are already eliminated from the Leagues Cup and the staff didn't want to risk their star player against the Mexicans.
