Getting chances to play Rekik was left on the bench for Saturday's 1-0 loss to Real Madrid but started the previous two matches.

Impact Rekik started two straight matches at left-back while Aleix Vidal, a more natural option, finished proving his fitness. With Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde presenting one of the strong partnerships in the league, Rekik still has plenty of work to do if he wants to play regularly, although the amount of fixtures on the schedule this season should give him a few more opportunities.

Joins Sevilla Rekik signed a five-year contract with Sevilla after joining from Hertha Berlin on Monday.

Impact Rekik is another deadline day signing with plenty of professional experience. He'll compete with Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos for a spot as a starting center-back if he can ever manage to work himself back to full fitness, as Rekik has dealt with knee problems throughout the summer and to start the season.

Ruled out Sunday Rekik (knee) will miss Sunday's matchup with Bayern Munich.

Impact Rekik has yet to get onto the pitch for the club this season and will have to wait until at least after the international break. The defender started all 38 appearances he had made over the course of the last two seasons and should be in the mix for a spot in the starting XI once cleared to play.
