Look at all of the great Spain players who wouldn’t even make the stacked France team
Didier Deschamps has a tough job on his hands. France has an absurd amount of depth heading into the 2018 World Cup. They're stacked at every single position, to the point where they could probably submit two squads for the tournament and still do well. Their opponent on Tuesday, Spain, have long been one of the deepest teams in world football, but right now the talent pool in France is unmatched.
Here are all the players from Spain's team that probably wouldn't even crack France's best 18:

Goalkeeper: Iker Casillas
No disrespect to the living legend that is Iker Casillas, but France are chock full of talent all over the pitch, and at goalkeeper it's no different. Hugo Lloris is the undisputed starter, but his backups are no joke either. Steve Mandanda and Benoit Costil are both in the prime of their careers, and at this point, both better goalkeepers than Casillas. There was clearly no competition at his peak, but at this point, Casillas probably wouldn't make France's team.

Nacho
France might just be the deepest in defense, and they're especially stacked at center back. There's a chance Real Madrid defender Nacho could sneak into France's team at right back, but as it stands, he simply wouldn't make it in the team. With Raphael Varane, Laurent Koscielny, Samuel Umtiti and Aymeric Laporte all ahead of him, there's no shot.

Marc Bartra
Bartra is a solid defender, but there'd be just no room in France's team. Even if the aforementioned defenders weren't there, Kurt Zouma, Adil Rami, Jeremy Mathieu, even Eliaquim Mangala and Mamadou Sakho might sneak in ahead of him.

Nacho Monreal
France are probably weakest at the fullback position, so there's a chance Nacho Monreal would sneak into the squad there. Still, with Layvin Kurzawa and Lucas Digne all ahead of him at left back, it'd be tough.

Iñigo Martinez
Iñigo Martinez may be a fantastic up-and-coming young center back, but in this France squad? No luck my friend. Try again in a few years.

Mikel San Jose
Athletic Bilbao defender Mikel San Jose has seven caps for the Spanish national team, but would he ever get to that many for France? With their depth in defense, it's tough to see him doing much better.

Ander Herrera
Ander Herrera has quietly had a solid season for Manchester United. A strong passer, hard worker and an intelligent player, he'd definitely be on the fringes, pushing for a spot, but France have wild depth in the middle, and it's tough to see Herrera cracking that. His teammate Paul Pogba, the bane of the Premier League, N'Golo Kante, and Blaise Matuidi all would get in ahead of him, likely as would Lyon star Corentin Tolisso.

Marco Asensio
Marco Asensio's just at the beginning of his career as a Spain international, and he looks to have a bright future. Competition in Spain's system is already incredibly tough, but it's hard to see Asensio cracking France's squad at this point in his career.

Bruno Soriano
Villarreal's experienced midfielder Bruno Soriano is a fantastic player, but with Pogba, Kante, Matuidi, et al ahead of him, it's hard to see where he'd fit.

Saul Ñiguez
Saul's already scored some incredible and important goals in his young career, but where's he get in France's team? The depth is just ridiculous.

Vitolo
Sevilla winger Vitolo's become an regular member of Spain's team recently, but if he were French? Things might not be so sweet. Dimitri Payet, Ousmane Dembele and Kingsley Coman are all there, not to mention Anthony Martial and young Thomas Lemar.

Lucas Vazquez
He may be one of Zidane's favorites, but the little winger would have a tough time breaking through in France's squad, despite his obvious quality.

Pedro
Pedro's found new life in London with Chelsea, and he might be one of the players with the best shout of cracking France's squad. His versatility and eye for goal might get him in there, but Payet, Dembele and the gang would have something to say about that.

Gerard Deulofeu
One of the most skilful players in the world, Deulofeu's inconsistency has plagued him throughout his career. He's getting his shot with Spain, but it's tough to think he'd be in ahead of France's raft of stars.

Nolito
Manchester City's forgotten man, Nolito probably wouldn't get much of a sniff of the pitch if he was French.

Iago Aspas
Iago Aspas is cracking in the goals for Celta Vigo, but with strikers like Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro, Alexandre Lacazette, then teen sensation Kylian Mbappe ahead of him? Life's tough.

Jose Callejon
Callejon's been consistently solid for a number of years now. He's one of Napoli's best, and he's been a solid bench player for Spain as well, but if he was French? Payet, Dembele, Martial all would slide in ahead of him.

Paco Alcacer
Poor Paco Alcacer can't get a game for Barcelona, and he probably wouldn't get one for France either.
