Rumor: West Brom to Chelsea or Manchester United // Likelihood: For sure // The Talk: Saido Berahino is becoming a regular in our Rumor Mill gallery and yet again finds himself linked with the top clubs in England. This week, Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly received a boost in their pursuit of Berahino. West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace is likely to refuse to do business with Tottenham, according to the Daily Mirror, after he accused them of unsettling their star striker. So the stage is set for the Blues and Red Devils -- who are both struggling for goals -- to go head-to-head in a battle for the Englishman.

Nigel de Jong
Rumor: AC Milan to Leicester // Likelihood: Suits all parties // The Talk: According to the Sunday People, Leicester City are looking to add steel to their Premier League title challenge in the form of Nigel de Jong. Yes, that’s right people; you have to start considering the Foxes as serious contenders for this season’s crown. Claudio Ranieri is thought to be interested in the Dutchman after he has failed to nail down a regular starting berth in Milan. De Jong, who won the Premier League in his time as Manchester City, only recently signed a three-year contract extension – but it is thought Milan would be willing to do a deal.
Rumor: Monaco (on loan at Chelsea) to Fenerbahce // Likelihood: Makes sense // The Talk: Turkish giants Fenerbache are keen on taking Chelsea misfit Falcao, according to reports. Falcao has played only nine times for the Blues so far this season, scoring only one goal in the process. The striker spent last season on loan at Manchester United and endured an equally miserable time as he failed to get to grips with the Premier League. However, as a prolific striker everywhere else he has played in his career, it is no wonder Fenerbahce have been linked with the player. The Turkish side would only be able to pounce if Chelsea cancels his loan.
Rumor: Italy to Chelsea // Likelihood: Not until the end of the Euros, if at all // The Talk: Italy coach Antonio Conte is being lined up to replace Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, according to the Daily Star. The Blues have had an awful season in the Premier League by their standards and Mourinho could be on borrowed time if performances don’t improve. Conte is currently in charge of the Italian national side and has led them to this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament. If Chelsea look for a manager before the summer then it is unlikely Conte would oblige, as he would no doubt be keen on testing himself at the Euros. It would surely take a huge deal for the Italian to even consider it.
Rumor: Leicester to Chelsea // Likelihood: Staying put // The Talk: Jamie Vardy leads the Premier League scoring charts so far this season with 14 goals (before their trip to Chelsea on January 14th). His goalscoring heroics have attracted many admirers from at home and abroad. Chelsea are the latest side to be linked with a move for the England international and the Daily Mirror reports a bid of around £20million ($30.2million) could be made for the striker. With Diego Costa and Falcao potentially looking for moves away, the Blues could be on the lookout for extra firepower. Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has said that he thinks Vardy would be better off staying at the club and we think that is the most likely option.

Rumor: PSG to Arsenal // Likelihood: A good chance // The Talk: Adrien Rabiot has angered Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc after the youngster handed in a transfer request. “Adrien has to understand that when you have the possibility of going at the end of your contract and to leave for free, you can do it,” the Frenchman said. “Otherwise, when you sign a contract of five years with PSG, you have to respect your first club.” The France Under-21 international has featured regularly for PSG this season after an injury to Marco Verratti. Arsenal are thought to be the team keenest on taking the player on a short-term move in January.
Rumor: Corinthians to Manchester United or Liverpool // Likelihood: Maybe // The Talk: Fierce rivals Manchester United and Liverpool look set to battle it out over the signature of Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato, according to The Guardian. The Brazilian has admitted his love for the English game and his desire to play there. “One day I knew I would like to come to England because I think the Premier League is the number one in the world. It is very competitive. I like the emotion in the English league. You look at the TV and you see the stadium and the fans.” Corinthians are reportedly ready to sell the 26-year-old, who has scored 26 goals in a loan spell with Sao Paulo, with the Red Devils and Liverpool hoping to add goals to their Premier League campaigns.
Rumor: Real Madrid to Chelsea // Likelihood: Blues must sell first // The Talk: James Rodriguez is reportedly unhappy with life at the Bernabeu under manager Rafael Benitez and is apparently eyeing a move away next summer. Chelsea are thought to be one of the clubs showing an interest in the Colombian international. The Blues have been blunt in attack for most of the season, with star performers Diego Costa and Eden Hazard struggling to find form. James could be the creative spark the side need to get the club moving in the right direction, however Real are unlikely to want the attacking midfielder to leave the club.
Rumor: Chelsea to Atletico Madrid // Likelihood: Not this window // The Talk: Chelsea striker Diego Costa has been linked with a return to Atletico Madrid since the summer. And rumors gained momentum this week as Costa himself hinted a return could be on the cards. "You never know – look where Filipe Luis is now. Life is full of surprises," he said to Onda Cero. "I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, I support them from afar." But Jose Mourinho has since played down the comments and denies the Spain international will leave the club despite his poor form so far this season.
Rumor: Arsenal to Real Madrid // Likelihood: Unlikely // The Talk: According to Don Balon, Real Madrid are keen on bringing Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil back to the Bernabeu if James Rodriguez decides to leave the club. James is thought to be unhappy in Madrid and Ozil is reportedly their number one target to replace the Colombian if he departs. The German has been in great form so far this season for Arsenal and grabbed another assist in the Gunners victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.
