Rumor: Free agent to MLS. // Likelihood: Only a matter of time. // The talk: SWP’s contract at QPR expired at the end of the season and rumors are circulating that he could join his brother Bradley in MLS. Shaun was a much better player than Bradley but his career has gone off the rails in the last few years. Shaun would like to play in MLS anyway, anyhow, anywhere and could join Bradley at New York Red Bulls although Houston Dynamo are also in the running.

Rumor: Chelsea to Arsenal. // Likelihood: Still not done. // The talk: It’s not true that Cech’s move to Arsenal is almost a done deal. Crucially the two clubs have not agreed a transfer fee and are reportedly "not close" in their valuations. Cech wants to stay in London where his family are settled and the Gunners are offering a very generous package. The Blues would rather sell Cech to PSG. A stand-off beckons.

Rumor: Sevilla to Liverpool. // Likelihood: Unlikely. // The talk: Sevilla’s sporting director Monchi says any club wanting to sign Bacca will have to pay his release clause which stands at $34 million. That sounds like good value to us considering he has been a minor sensation for Sevilla in his two seasons there, registering 49 goals in 106 appearances in all competitions. The Colombian is happy in Seville though -- and the Andalucians want him to stay. Could just be talk to get a bigger price but we recon he’ll stay -- especially after his Europa League heroics.
Rumor: Juventus to Boca Juniors. // Likelihood: Anytime soon. // The talk: Tevez’s impending return to Boca Juniors has happened quickly but if anyone needed convincing that it will happen they need look no further than Juventus’ capture of Mario Mandzukic. Argentina legend Diego Maradona posted the words "Welcome home Carlos Tevez" on Facebook. Not a matter of if just when the deal will be announced.

Rumor: Zenit to AC Milan. // Likelihood: Good chance. // The talk: AC Milan are seething after missing out on the capture of Geoffrey Kondogbia to rivals Internazionale. The Monaco midfielder had agreed a deal with the Rossoneri on Saturday but 48 hours later he is destined for Inter. Milan won’t get fooled again and are looking at Witsel, who wants to quit Zenit but he is also a target for Juventus. However, Juve only want to sign the Belgium international if Paul Pogba leaves. Chelsea have also been strongly linked with a move for Witsel as a replacement for John Obi Mikel.

Rumor: Porto to Arsenal. // Likelihood: Up in the air. // The talk: The Gunners looked to be in a good position to sign the Colombia striker but they face competition. Some pundits thought that Mario Mandzukic’s move to Juventus would prompt Atleti boss Diego Simeone to make a move for Martinez, but the 2014-15 La Liga champions have just signed Luciano Vietto from Villarreal. Could AC Milan re-enter the running for Happy Jack? We’ll see.

Kevin De Bruyne
Rumor: Wolfsburg to Manchester City. // Likelihood: Money talks. // The talk: De Bruyne was named the Bundesliga’s best player last season and the player himself has admitted his agent has held informal talks with Manchester City. No decision will be made until De Bruyne speaks with the club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs. De Bruyne says he holds a debt of gratitude towards Wolfsburg for rescuing him from his Chelsea nightmare but most players soon forget that once the checkbook is waved in front of them. One thing’s for sure, he won’t be a substitute at City like he was at Stamford Bridge.

Rumor: Atletico Madrid to PSG. // Likelihood: Unsure. // The talk: Griezmann supposedly has a $68.8 million release clause but that figure is much, too much for Premier League champions Chelsea. However, the latest news is that French champions PSG have made a $44.5 million bid for the former Sociedad forward, who enjoyed a sensational debut with Atletico last season, scoring 22 goals in 37 appearances. A special talent that Diego Simeone will want to keep. We reckon he’ll still be at Vicente Calderon next season.

Rumor: Bayern Munich to Manchester United. // Likelihood: In the balance. // The talk: United fans are getting excited about the prospect of Schweinsteiger joining Louis van Gaal’s United revolution but at the moment they can relax because we’re only on the first step towards a potential transfer. We’re confident that the interest is real and with Schweinsteiger approaching 31 years old and his contract running out in 2016, Bayern may want to do business.

Rumor: Real Madrid to Manchester United. // Likelihood: Interesting. // The talk: Ramos is reportedly unhappy Real Madrid have allowed his contract to run down to the final two years which has naturally alerted Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, who is keen to strengthen his central defense. It's possible that United are using this to further complicate the saga surrounding David De Gea in a bid to get the Spanish giants to back down over their bid to sign United's goalkeeper. United may effectively be saying: We're not gonna take it. Out of all the scenarios, we think Ramos is just making a point and will stay at the Bernabeu, and may well be joined by De Gea.
