Adam Webster - Starts final friendly Webster (undisclosed) started in Saturday's friendly against Getafe.
Impact This was the first appearance in the preseason for Webster, but he made it 79 minutes, so there shouldn't be any question about his status for Saturday's opener against Burnley. He's started 60 matches the last two seasons and is expected to be a major piece to the Brighton back line once again.

Danny Welbeck - Will miss start of season Welbeck will likely miss the first three matches of the season due to a hamstring injury, reports The Athletic.
Impact The Athletic threw this into the bottom of a Dan Burn update, but it makes sense since Welbeck suffered his hamstring injury at the beginning of the month. It's yet another injury for the forward, who seems to miss multiple games every year because of some issue.
AUGUST 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dan Burn - To miss start of season Burn is set to miss the start of the season due to knee ligament damage suffered in last weekend's friendly, reports The Athletic.
Impact Burn is projected to miss the first three matches of the season, which means the other Brighton defenders face a race to be fit for the Aug. 14 opener. Combined with the transfer of Ben White and further injury to Tariq Lamptey, Brighton open the season with some problems on their back line.
AUGUST 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Lewis Dunk - Back in training Dunk was pictured in training Thursday after dealing with a minor injury the last couple weeks.
Impact Dunk is back with the team and should have a full week of training in before the Aug. 14 opener against Burnley. After missing a couple friendlies, it looks like he'll be ready for the start of the season and he'll be needed without Ben White to partner him on the back line.

Danny Welbeck - Could miss start of season Welbeck could miss the Aug. 14 opener because of a hamstring injury suffered last week, reports The Athletic. According to manager Graham Potter, "He felt his hamstring in the warm...
Impact It's not a great start to the season for Welbeck, who battled numerous issues last season en route to 24 appearances. His possible absence would allow the likes of Percy Tau and Aaron Connolly more chances for minutes in the early season.
AUGUST 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Jakub Moder - Starts in friendly Moder started in Saturday's friendly, returning from a knee issue suffered during Euros.
Impact Moder looks to be ready for the season after suffering an injury June 19 while playing with Poland. He appeared in 12 league matches last season following his mid-season transfer, but with guys like Solly March and Tariq Lamptey back in the squad, it's unknown what kind of role he'll have.
AUGUST 2, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Adam Webster - Signs new Brighton contract Webster signed a new five-year deal with Brighton, keeping him at the club until 2026.
Impact It's a massive deal for Webster, who has been one of Brighton's key pieces the last couple seasons, starting 60 times at center-back. With Ben White gone, he'll likely keep that role going forward along with Lewis Dunk.

Arsenal signs center back Ben White from Brighton

Lewis Dunk - Dealing with minor injury Dunk missed Saturday's friendly with an undisclosed injury and is a doubt for the next friendly on July 31, according to manager Graham Potter.
Impact Potter didn't describe the injury, but if it's holding Dunk out multiple friendlies, it's something to monitor with the season three weeks ahead. The center-back has started at least 33 matches each of the last four seasons and needs to be 100 percent at the start of the campaign to hit that number again.
JULY 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Adam Webster - Missing in early friendly Webster was not in the squad for Saturday's friendly because of an undisclosed injury, but according to manager Graham Potter, the defender is close to a return.
Impact It seems like Webster was held out as a precaution Saturday, so it shouldn't be a major worry with the season three weeks away. If he misses a couple more friendlies closer to the Aug. 14 opener, then it may be time to worry.
JULY 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Danny Welbeck - Late scratch from friendly Welbeck was set to enter Saturday's friendly, but according to manager Graham Potter, "He literally just had a feeling before he was about to come on, so we didn't want to take any...
Impact This doesn't seem like a major worry, but it's something that prevented Welbeck from taking the pitch in a friendly three weeks before the season. He'll have plenty more opportunities to get minutes in the coming weeks, but this injury is something to be monitored.
JULY 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Solly March - Gets minutes in friendly March played the second half of Saturday's friendly, making his match return following last season's knee injury.
Impact March should be ready for the start of the season, as he has another three weeks to get back to fitness and get his knee in a better position to play full 90s. He was electric on the left wing when healthy last season and his return likely pushes Dan Burn into more of a bench role.
JULY 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Tariq Lamptey - Unlikely to be fit for opener Lamptey (hamstring) is unlikely to be ready for the start of the Premier League season, according to The Athletic.
Impact Lamptey was training with the team, but it appears the injury isn't healing as fast as was hoped. Brighton's manager Graham Potter is understandably cautious with the midfielder noting, "It's important that we just stay patient and do the right things for him, make sure we finish off this last stage of his rehab in a good way." It appears that Brighton are playing the long game with Lamptey and will ease him back into the team later in the season.
JULY 24, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Alexis MacAllister - Takes three shots in opener Mac Allister took three shots (off target) and added four crosses (one accurate) and one dribble along with 18 dispossessions in Thursday's 2-0 loss to Australia.
Impact Mac Allister had his chances up front but was wasteful and couldn't hit the mark even once. He delivered little elsewhere but if he can get the same number of opportunities next time around again Egypt could become his first victim of the Olympics.

Kjell Scherpen - Signs with Brighton Scherpen has signed a permanent dealwith Brighton away from Dutch side Ajax.
Impact At 21 years old, Scherpen is more of a prospect, as he wasn't the starter at Ajax. There's a chance he stays with the U23 squad this season, though Brighton don't have a cemented option behind Robert Sanchez as of now.
JULY 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Solly March - Joins team in preseason March (knee) has joined the team in preseason training, roughly a month before the new campaign starts, reports The Athletic.
Impact The return of March along with Tariq Lamptey would be a huge boost to Brighton, who lost both of them for the majority of the prior campaign. March last appeared in February and as long as he can get some friendly minutes before the new season, he should be ready to start for the Aug. 14 opener.
JULY 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Tariq Lamptey - Taking part in preseason Lamptey (hamstring) has joined his team in early preseason, roughly a month before the season starts, reports The Athletic.
Impact This is a great sign for Lamptey, who hasn't featured for Brighton since December because of ongoing hamstring issues. If he can get a few friendlies under his belt before the new campaign, there's a decent chance he'll be ready for the starting XI come Aug. 14 against Burnley.
JULY 13, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
