Scores and assists against Cagliari
Sanchez took six shots (three on target), created two chances, scored a goal and picked up an assist in Sunday's 4-0 win over Cagliari.
Impact
Sanchez relieved Edin Dzeko in this one and had a great performance as he found the target with a quality finish in the box and linked up with Hakan Calhanoglu ahead of the third goal of the game. He will be the third option up front until Joaquin Correa returns. He has tallied two goals, two assists, 16 shots and 12 chances created in 14 games (two starts). Inter will visit Salernitana Friday.

Creates two chances versus Spezia
Sanchez (thigh) took one shot on target, created two scoring chances and had one interception and one successful take-on in 17 minutes in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Spezia.
Impact
Sanchez returned from a thigh injury as expected and had okay numbers considering the limited playing time. He will likely be the fourth option up front behind Lautaro Martinez, Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa moving forward. He has posted one goal, one assist, eight shots and ten chances created in 11 matches. Inter will face Roma away Saturday.

ROTOWIRE
Substitute option Wednesday
Sanchez (thigh) was named to the match-day squad versus Spezia on Wednesday.
Impact
On the year, Sanchez has made just one start in 10 appearances for the club, including another three matches in which he was an unused substitute. As such, fantasy players shouldn't be expecting him to offer much in the way of fantasy value moving forward.

ROTOWIRE
Might return against Spezia
Sanchez (thigh) has logged a pair of pull practices and has good chances to be available for Thursday's match versus Spezia, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Impact
Sanchez has been out of action for a couple of weeks due to his latest muscular injury, but he appears to have shaken it off. He would be a bench option, as it has been the case for most of the season, if indeed cleared to return. He has posted one goal, one assist, seven shots, and eight chances created in ten appearances (one start) so far.

Will miss some time
Sanchez suffered a flexor problem in the right thigh and will be out for approximately two weeks, Sky Italy reports.
Impact
Sanchez got hurt with Chile and will have to sit out multiple games considering the busy schedule. Joaquin Correa and Stefano Sensi will be the top offensive backups behind Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez with Sanchez sidelined.

Gets hurt with Chile
Sanchez subbed off in the first half of the World Cup qualifier against Ecuador due to an apparent thigh injury, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Impact
Sanchez could not continue after clutching his thigh following a sprint. He will be assessed shortly after returning to Italy. He has dealt with similar problems multiple times in recent seasons and will probably have to skip some games.

ROTOWIRE
Scores in Sheriff game
Sanchez took one shot on target, created two chances, won one duel and scored a goal in nine minutes in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Sheriff Tiraspol.
Impact
Sanchez made the most of his scarce minutes by bamboozling a pair of defenders and finding the target with a superb shot in the late stages of the game. He is faring better lately but he has to compete with Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa and therefore he is highly likely to remain a super-sub. He has notched one goal, one assist, six chances created and five crosses in eight appearances (one start). Inter will face Milan Sunday.

Sets up teammate in Empoli game
Sanchez took two shots (one on target), sent in two crosses, created three scoring chances and picked up an assist in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Empoli.
Impact
Sanchez received a rare start in the midweek round as Edin got most of the day off and capitalized on it by setting up Danilo D'Ambrosio with a sweet cross. This was his first start of the season. He will fight with Joaquin Correa for the role as the top backup up front. He has notched five shots, six chances and four crosses in seven matches. Inter will host Udinese Sunday.

Ruled out for Lazio match
Sanchez will not join the teammates in Rome following a late return from international duties, coach Simone Inzaghi announced.
Impact
Sanchez will fly back to Italy in the middle of the night and the coach elected not to call him up. Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa will be the top offensive options in this one, as the coach stated that the Argentinians will report back earlier.

ROTOWIRE
Unused against Sampdoria
Sanchez (calf) did not feature in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Sampdoria.
Impact
Sanchez was available off the bench after dealing with a calf problem, but the coach made different choices. He has three strikers ahead of him in the depth chart, but the injury to Stefano Sensi potentially opens up some backup minutes. Inter will host Real Madrid in Champions League Wednesday and then Bologna Saturday.

Bench option versus Sampdoria

ROTOWIRE
Could make bench versus Sampdoria
Sanchez has looked fine in practice and, depending on how the final session will go, he could be called up for Sunday's game against Sampdoria, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi announced...
Impact
Sanchez has missed extended time with a calf strain, which has been hampering him since July. He has made strong strides during the break, and he could make the match-day squad list in this one. However, his role could be affected by the addition of Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa, while he was the third choice last year.

Resumes practicing
Sanchez (calf) has trained partially with the rest of the group at the start of the week and should go into full training soon, Tuttomercatoweb reports.
Impact
Sanchez has had trouble recovering from a calf problem that sidelined him in the Copa America, but he is on the verge of returning. If he avoids setbacks, he could make the squad list for Sunday's game versus Sampdoria or for one of the two coming up next week.

Remains sidelined
Sanchez (calf) will miss Friday's game versus Verona, Rai Sport reports.

Unavailable for opener
Sanchez has not recovered from his calf injury, coach Simone Inzaghi informed.
Impact
Sanchez will be out for the opening game against Genoa and has slim chances to recover for the second one versus Verona as well. With Lautaro Martinez suspended, Edin Dzeko, Stefano Sensi, Ivan Perisic and Martin Satriano will be the top options for Inter up front Saturday.

ROTOWIRE
Still dealing with calf issue
Sanchez is still dealing with a calf injury suffered while on international duty with Chile more than a month ago, according to Sempre Inter.
Impact
Sanchez still has a few weeks to recover, but his time is waning to be ready for the season opener Aug. 21. He appeared in 30 league matches last season, but only 12 of those were starts and at 32 years old, those numbers probably won't get any better.
