Wales center Davies to have foot surgery, out for 6 months

CARDIFF, Wales (AP) Wales says center Jonathan Davies will miss around six months because of a foot injury.

The Welsh Rugby Union said on Tuesday that Davies requires surgery after he was injured in the final seconds of Wales’ 29-21 loss to Australia on Saturday.

It means Davies is ruled out of the entire Six Nations as well as the rest of the autumn international series, with Wales still to play Georgia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Jamie Roberts has already been called up as a replacement for Davies.
