CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand (AP) The Crusaders started strong and ended up with a 29-10 win over the New South Wales Waratahs on Friday in Super Rugby.
Winger Johnny McNichol scored a try after three minutes and made another for fullback Israel Dagg to give the Christchurch-based Crusaders a 12-0 lead after eight minutes in a match played in heavy rain.
McNichol seemed to have a second try in the 12th minute but was denied on a technicality as the Crusaders dominated all of the opening exchanges.
