FOX Sports Kicks Off Wednesday Night iRacing with World of Outlaws on FS1

Stars from WoO, NASCAR and NHRA Pack this Week’s Lineup
Johnny Gibson, ‘The Voice’ of the World of Outlaws, Joins Adam Alexander, Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer to Call First Event

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – FOX Sports throws a little dirt into its eSports lineup this week, with the addition of World of Outlaws iRacing from the virtual Dirt Track at Charlotte on Wednesday, April 1 (8:00 PM ET) on FS1. The race marks the beginning of a weekly FS1 series of iRacing events across multiple disciplines and various virtual racetracks.

This week’s World of Outlaws iRacing event features stars from multiple series, including Brad Sweet (WoO), David Gravel (WoO), Bobby Pierce (DIRTcar Racing), Scott Bloomquist (WoO), Kyle Larson (NASCAR), Christopher Bell (NASCAR), Cruz Pedregon (NHRA) and Ron Capps (NHRA).

The one-hour program features a 35-lap World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series race, followed by a 50-lap Morton Buildings Late Model battle.

“The iRacing simulation platform is undeniably the closest thing to real racing we can deliver to our viewers during this challenging time,” said Brad Zager, FOX Sports Executive Producer, EVP/Head of Production & Operations. “While the racing may be virtual, the competition and fun are absolutely real, and we’ll use Wednesday nights to explore a variety of virtual racing.”

For Wednesday’s first event, Adam Alexander hosts, with Johnny Gibson, “The Voice” of the World of Outlaws, calling the action. NASCAR Hall-of-Famer Jeff Gordon and NASCAR CUP SERIES driver Clint Bowyer, who owns a Dirt Late Model race team, provide commentary.

“Americans are resilient, dirt track fans more than most, but they are also a proud group,” said Ben Geisler, Chief Marketing Officer for the World of Outlaws. “I can’t wait to hear them talking about the sport they love this week, while FOX Sports places it on arguably the biggest stage in sports right now. FOX Sports also continues its coverage of the eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series from virtual Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 5 (1:00 PM ET) on FOX*, FS1 and the FOX Sports app. Last Sunday’s event from virtual Texas Motor Speedway drew 1,339,000 viewers across FOX and FS1, a record for eSports on linear television for the second consecutive week.

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports teams up with WWE to offer a new slate of action-packed programming to viewers, including the network’s first-ever pay-per-view presentation of WRESTLEMANIA on the FOX Sports App and FOXSports.com. WRESTLEMANIA, hosted by FOX Sports’ very own Rob Gronkowski, will be held as a two-night event for the first-time ever this Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 at 7:00 PM ET.

Viewers can live stream two nights of the WRESTLEMANIA pay-per-view for $59.99 on the FOX Sports and FOX NOW Apps via mobile and connected devices such as Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Xbox One and Roku or at FOXSports.com. WRESTLEMANIA KICKOFF PART 1 and PART 2 begin coverage this Saturday and Sunday night at 6:00 PM ET on FS1 and FOX Deportes, with a panel of experts breaking down the night’s upcoming matches.

FOX Sports will present 22 hours of timeless WWE content to air on Tuesday nights this spring, beginning with ROYAL RUMBLE 2020 tonight at 7:00 PM ET on FS1. Additional programming on FS1 includes one-hour editions of WRESTLEMANIA 31, WRESTLEMANIA 33 and WRESTLEMANIA 34, in addition to other specials from the “WWE 24” and “Ruthless Aggression” series. Content also includes WWE’s brand-new series titled “Best Of WWE” featuring “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Triple H, John Cena, Charlotte Flair, Ric Flair, Brock Lesnar, Becky Lynch, Shawn Michaels, Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NASCAR RACE HUB returns to the FS1 daily lineup on Monday, March 30, at 6:00 PM ET in a modified, remote format. The one-hour show airs Monday-Thursdays with host and analysts via Zoom from their homes.

Additionally, on each episode, Lindsay Czarniak interviews a driver and his family one-on-one via Zoom from their respective homes for a behind-the-scenes look at their lives and new routines without racing.

Three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin, winner of the inaugural eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series race last Sunday at virtual Homestead-Miami Speedway, is Czarniak’s first guest in a special 30-minute edition of NASCAR RACE HUB airing Sunday, March 29, at 12:30 PM ET, immediately preceding the FOX NASCAR iRACING event from virtual Texas Motor Speedway (simulcast on FOX, FS1 and the FOX Sports app at 1:00 PM ET).

Czarniak’s guests next week include Hamlin (Monday), Martin Truex Jr. and Sherry Pollex (Tuesday), Erik Jones (Wednesday) and Kyle and Samantha Busch (Thursday).

The Monday 6:00 PM ET editions of NASCAR RACE HUB recap the previous day’s FOX NASCAR iRACING action, while the Tuesday-Thursday episodes feature specific themes ranging from 2020 season headlines and recaps to a countdown of the best drivers of all time. New York – Today, FOX Sports announces the first-ever FOX Esports Madden NFL Invitational set to air Sunday, March 29, live at 7:00 PM ET on FS1. The two-hour event, hosted by FOX Sports broadcasters Chris Myers and Rachel Bonnetta, raises awareness for the CDC Foundation’s COVID-19 relief efforts.

The tournament matches eight NFL stars in a single-elimination Madden NFL 20 tournament with seven matches across three rounds of play to determine who is crowned the FOX Esports Madden NFL Invitational champion. All players compete remotely and with the games live streamed into a single two-hour telecast on FS1.

“We are excited to bring together such a dynamic group of talented individuals to help us create some much-needed sports entertainment in these difficult times,” said Joe Franzetta, FOX Sports VP, Rights & Business Relationships. “Seeing so many people enthusiastically come together for a great cause in a such a short time is a testament to the human spirit of cooperation that sports exemplify.”

The field of celebrity competitors, highlighted by FOX Sports analysts and NFL stars, includes Michael Vick, Matt Leinart, Orlando Scandrick, T.J.Houshmandzadeh, Juju Smith-Schuster, Derwin James, Antonio Cromartie and Ahman Green.

Throughout Sunday’s telecast, FOX Sports will spotlight the CDC Foundation, an independent nonprofit that works to extend the lifesaving work of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Viewers can support the CDC Foundation’s COVID-19 response efforts, including the “All of Us: Combat Coronavirus” crowdfunding campaign (give4cdcf.org). Donations to the CDC Foundation’s response efforts address critical emerging needs, including providing support for vulnerable communities; increasing laboratory capacity; strengthening dedicated local response efforts; updating community data and technology infrastructure; addressing health communications needs, boosting clinical research to optimize clinical care and support and more.

Los Angeles – Today, FOX Deportes announces the debut of its newest show, EL ENTRETIEMPO, Monday, March 30 at 11 PM ET. The Spanish-language program airs weeknights, Monday to Friday, summarizing the day’s sports news alongside passionate debate, interviews and expert analysis from preeminent sports television personalities.

The word “entretiempo” in Spanish refers to a game’s halftime but also means “in between times.” The show’s title is meant to evoke moments when fans get together to discuss sports in between halves, games or seasons.

NEW YORK – Today, FOX Sports announces the return of the NFL on FOX with a slate of its Greatest NFL Games televised Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays across FOX, FS1 and FOX Deportes through the month of April. Starting this Sunday, FOX offers an encore presentation of Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons at 3:00 PM ET on FOX and FOX Deportes and Friday, April 3, at 7:00 PM ET on FS1. Viewers can relive the action when – SPOILER ALERT – Tom Brady leads the Patriots to an incredible comeback in the first ever Super Bowl decided in overtime.

“We are pleased to join forces with the NFL to showcase these unforgettable games to our viewers, while supporting Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund,” said FOX Sports President, National Networks, Mark Silverman. “We hope these classic games provide entertainment and a much-needed respite during these unprecedent times.”

Over the next month, FOX and FOX Deportes will televise four additional Super Bowl games spanning two decades each Sunday at 3:00 PM ET, with encore presentations on FS1 Fridays at 7:00 PM ET. On Sunday, April 5, Aaron Rodgers leads the Green Bay Packers to a 31-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, while the following week, on Easter Sunday, Eli Manning and the Giants spoil the Patriots’ bid for a perfect season in Super Bowl XLII. FOX replays Super Bowl XXXIII on Sunday, April 19, as the Denver Broncos defeat the Falcons, sending quarterback John Elway into retirement as a champion. Wrapping up the month of specials, Sunday, April 26, showcases Super Bowl XXXI, as Brett Favre leads the Packers past the Patriots, bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Titletown for the first time in nearly three decades.

In conjunction with each Super Bowl Sunday re-air, and as part of the company’s effort to help people affected by the COVID-19 health crisis, FOX Sports is donating to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund. Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, has established this specific national food and fund-raising effort to support people facing hunger and the food banks helping them. The organization is focused on filling the gap created by school closures, partnering with school districts and local government agencies to ensure that the 22 million children relying on school meals have access to food outside of the classroom.

FOX Sports also offers a lineup of other recent classic games each Thursday in April on FS1 and FOX Deportes at 8:00 PM ET, beginning Thursday, April 2 with the Minneapolis Miracle, as Stefon Diggs shocked the world to lead the Minnesota Vikings over the New Orleans Saints in the 2018 Divisional Playoffs. On Thursday, April 9, the network showcases the Miracle at the New Meadowlands, as DeSean Jackson’s punt return capped 28 straight points for the Eagles in a win over the Giants.

Rodgers once again leads the Packers to a postseason victory in an encore presentation of the 2017 Divisional Playoffs on Thursday, April 16, as his 36-yard pass set up a 51-yard field goal as time expired to defeat the Cowboys. On Thursday, April 23, Drew Brees and the Saints take down the Vikings in overtime in the 2010 NFC Championship Game en route to a Super Bowl title. Wrapping up the month of classic games on Thursday, April 30, Russell Wilson’s overtime touchdown lifts the Seattle Seahawks over the Packers in the 2015 NFC Championship.
