For First Time Ever, FOX Sports Hosts MLS Pregame Show from Supporters Section

LOS ANGELES – FOX Sports offers a riveting soccer doubleheader Saturday featuring legends and rising stars like Wayne Rooney, Carlos Vela, Robert Lewandowski and Marco Reus on the FOX broadcast network. The action kicks off with Der Klassiker, Bundesliga’s most storied rivalry, at 12:00 PM ET, as Borussia Dortmund attempts to reclaim its first championship title since 2012 and end Bayern Munich’s six-year winning streak. Immediately following, D.C. United host LAFC in a battle between the Eastern and Western division leaders.

For the first time ever, FOX Sports conducts its MLS pre-, halftime and postgame shows from a team’s supporters section, as host Rob Stone and studio analyst Alexi Lalas are live from Audi Field in Washington, D.C. with a scheduled appearance from D.C. United coach Ben Olsen. Additional coverage highlights include interviews with LAFC coach Bob Bradley, D.C. United midfielder Paul Arriola and LAFC forward Christian Ramirez and defender Walker Zimmerman. Once the action begins on the field, lead play-by-play announcer John Strong is on the call alongside former MLS star Stu Holden and reporter Katie Witham.

Kate Abdo hosts Saturday’s Bundesliga coverage from the FOX studios in Los Angeles alongside Warren Barton, Jovan Kirovski and Ian Joy. Lead Bundesliga play-by-play announcer Keith Costigan calls the highly anticipated Bayern-Dortmund match alongside Joy, a former FC St. Pauli left back. Saturday’s match marks the 100th time in Bundesliga history that Germany’s top two teams, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, collide.
