Now in Season 10, No. 1 NASCAR Daily Show Highlights Special Episodes for Charlotte Race Weeks
Inspirational Blind USC Long Snapper Jake Olson in RACE HUB Studio Wednesday; Takes FOX Cameras with Him to Charlotte Track

Currently in its 10th season, NASCAR RACE HUB will celebrate a big birthday next week with its 1500th episode, airing Tuesday, May 22 (6:00 PM ET).

With the milestone episode, NASCAR RACE HUB, NASCAR’s most-watched daily news program, extends its reign as the active FOX Sports program credited with more episodes than any other currently running across the FOX Sports family of national networks.

The May 22 show will feature a retrospective of the best and most entertaining moments from FOX NASCAR’s flagship program over the past decade. It will be the 224th episode to air on FS1, while 1,276 installments aired on SPEED prior to the Aug. 2013 FS1 launch.

The first episode of NASCAR RACE HUB premiered Oct. 12, 2009 on SPEED, co-hosted by Adam Alexander and Krista Voda. NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty was the first guest on RACE HUB, which originated as a 30-minute show during the inaugural NASCAR Hall of Fame week. Prior to its debut, the show’s title was selected with input from the NASCAR Fan Council.

RACE HUB will get a jumpstart on this weekend’s MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR ALL-STAR RACE (live on FS1 on May 19 at 8:00 PM ET) and COCA-COLA 600 (live on FOX on May 27 at 6:00 PM ET) with special episodes, beginning Thursday, May 17 (6:00 PM ET).

Thursday’s show features Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Joey Logano, Darrell Waltrip and Michael Waltrip recounting their memorable MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES ALL-STAR RACE victories. Alexander and Shannon Spake co-host the special.

The page turns to the COCA-COLA 600 next week with the May 22 “600 Winner’s Roundtable” edition (6:00 PM ET on FS1). On the day marking the 1500th episode of NASCAR RACE HUB, Johnson, Gordon, Darrell Waltrip, Austin Dillon and Casey Mears gather on the set alongside Alexander and Spake to share their perspectives on why NASCAR’s longest race is so iconic, their individual feats and favorite memories in the 600.

Prior to his participation in pre-race ceremonies at Charlotte Motor Speedway for this Friday’s NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES race (live on FS1 at 8:30 PM ET), inspirational University of Southern California long snapper Jake Olson, who is blind, will be in the NASCAR RACE HUB studio Wednesday, May 16 (6:00 PM ET). Olson also will take NASCAR RACE HUB behind-the-scenes of his at-track activities in the days preceding the race. Olson will take a ride in a two-seater with FOX NASCAR analyst and two-time Truck Series champion Todd Bodine, who will teach the football player the ins-and-outs of navigating a street car around the 1.5-mile track.

Olson inspired millions when he completed his first in-game snap during the Trojans’ 2017 football season opener against Western Michigan. Olson was born with retinoblastoma, which forced the surgical removal of both of his eyes as a child. The NASCAR RACE HUB feature showcasing Olson’s day at the speedway will air on Wednesday, May 16 (6:00 PM ET).
