FOX Sports took home several awards at this week’s 2017 Cynopsis Sports Media Awards breakfast, earning recognition for its national and regional sports coverage, use of social media and more.
Among the honorees, FOX Sports Midwest was named the RSN of the Year. Home to the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, Kansas City Royals and Indiana Pacers, FOX Sports Midwest is the highest-rated regional sports network in the country, and this past year added live in-market streaming of MLB and NHL games to its already powerful lineup.
FOX Sports also took home the trophy for Use of Facebook for “Breaking the Huddle presented by Dr Pepper,” hosted by FOX Sports lead college football analyst Joel Klatt during the fall.
FOX Sports Regional Networks also won for Live Coverage of a Sporting Event (Regional/Local) for Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs between the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks on FOX Sports Southeast; and for Regional Spot (30 Seconds), for FOX Sports South’s “Let’s Go!”
Big Ten Network also took home a pair of awards, as CAMPUS EATS was honored in the New Sports Show category, and BTN2Go and NeuLion were recognized for the top Mobile App.
