Indians-Cubs Tuesday Night is Best World Series Game 6 Metered Market Rating Since 2009

Cleveland, OH – The two best words in the world of sports: Game Seven. And that is exactly what baseball fans are being gifted after the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians, 9-3, in last night’s Game 6 at Progressive Field. Tuesday night’s World Series Game 6 posted a 14.8/24 overnight rating/share, according to Nielsen Media Research. The 14.8/24 overnight is the best-metered market rating for a World Series Game 6 since 2009, a championship clincher between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees.

World Series Game 6 is up +66% over 2014 (vs. 8.9/14; San Francisco Giants vs. Kansas City Royals), projects to be FOX’s best Tuesday night in primetime since March of 2010 and easily powered FOX to a first-place finish in primetime among the broadcast networks.

Cleveland led all markets by delivering a 40.5/59 overnight rating/share, with Chicago posting a 40.2/59.

Fast Nationals have been ordered for last night’s Game 6 and will be made available later today.
