Juli Inkster serves as a FOX Sports golf analyst, providing insight in the 18th Tower for the U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Girl’s Junior Amateur Championships.
ON THE COURSE
Inkster has enjoyed tremendous success on the LPGA Tour, claiming seven major championships, including two U.S. Women’s Open victories in 1999 and 2002, with 31 total LPGA wins to date. A nine-time member of the U.S. Solheim Cup Team, she served as captain of the victorious 2015 team. She also won three consecutive U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships from 1980-1982. Inkster was named the 1984 LPGA Rookie of the Year, and was voted 1999 Female Player of the Year by the Golf Writers Association of America. In 2000, she won an ESPY Award for Outstanding Women’s Golf Performer of the Year and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
ON THE MIC
In 2014, Inkster entered the broadcast business working as a reporter for the Golf Channel, honing her chops and becoming a skilled interviewer and analyst. Inkster made her FOX Sports debut as an on-course analyst at the 2015 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship and has contributed to FOX Sports’ USGA championship coverage in a variety of roles since.
Inkster was born in Santa Cruz, Calif. She attended San Jose State where she was a three-time All-American. Inkster has two daughters, Hayley and Cori and currently resides in Los Altos Calif. with her husband, Brian.
